I am an Associate Professor of Economics (untenured) at Peking University HSBC Business School. My research areas include urban economics, transportation economics, and Chinese economy.

I serve on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Urban Economics and the Journal of Economic Geography, am an Associate Editor of the China Economic Review and China & World Economy, and serve as Vice-President of the China Urban Economics Association. I am also a consultant for the Asian Development Bank. My research has been funded by the NSF, the NSF Guangdong, and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.
